But these qualities are especially important for kids. Parents must point their children in the right direction in life and the earlier the better. Kids learn by their example. Adolescence is called the formative years for a reason. The standards you set for them now will endure a lifetime.

With all the distractions from TV, movies, magazines, some music and the Internet that they're exposed, kids need proper guidance quickly. And such guidance puts our nation in capable hands when the next generation of leaders must take command.

At Red Dragon Karate in Chino Hills, CA, we take our martial arts responsibilities toward kids particularly seriously, fully realizing our duty to give them the best life has to offer both for their ultimate benefit and our own.

But we also know that the best way to teach the discipline, besides covering the honorable fundamental principles upon which it is based, is to make it FUN for them. That kind of environment is the most conducive for learning, and here at Red Dragon we never forget that.

The first way we convey this fun environment is through our instructors, who not only are highly credentialed but very warm and friendly as well. We let the kids know right up front that we want them to enjoy their road to martial arts mastery, and they respond accordingly.

Yes, there are fundamentals to develop and discipline to learn, but these are all acquired in a fun atmosphere that motivates the kids so much that they can't wait to take that next great step toward martial arts supremacy.

Our Kids' Karate Program Is the Complete Package

The same "Whole Person" development from the "Inside Out" philosophy that we teach our adults is presented to our kids also, but we do it in fun classes matching both their age level and experience.

The classes do, of course, have things in common. In all of them, we begin with stretching and conditioning. After that, aerobic and anaerobic elements are added. To complete the session, self-defense techniques and strategies are presented and life skills imparted.

Whatever the goal for each child is--to develop the next ultimate fighting superstar, to break bad behavior patterns, to bring them to a higher level of physical conditioning or simply to ensure that, male or female, they can protect themselves when needed, these classes are the perfect fit.

Kids are taught self-defense inclusive enough to handle situations all the way from simply preserving their dignity to literally saving their lives. Your child will never be bullied again. We will teach them the appropriate methods to distract, avoid and counteract bullying attempts!

And nowhere on the planet can more highly qualified instructors be found. Not only is Red Dragon a member of the prestigious Black Belt Schools International, but ALL of our instructors have the maximum five star rating as certified by the renowned American Karate Kung Fu Federation (AKKF).

Yet no child is rushed beyond what he is reasonably capable of performing. Our instructors are also specially trained to evaluate each kid individually. Nothing is introduced until that child is ready. We will always challenge but never overextend.
